Progress with the Garden

A couple of months ago our garden was looking like this:

And now, voila!

So far we've harvested peas, lettuce and broccoli. The cauliflower and cabbages aren't far behind, and I'm looking forward to some carrots and corn in a couple of months too.

Apart from enthusiastic pumpkins and flattened onions, everything is going pretty well!

  1. Looks awesome! I've already started thinking about our garden this year, and it is still 5 months until our last frost! I'm going to be starting my seeds indoors in about a month or so.

  2. Thanks! This is the first successful garden we've had (last season my chickens completely destroyed my fledgling garden while we were away for a week) and I'm really enjoying watching the progress.

Our first attempt starting seeds didn't work, but Owen had another go and almost half of the veges in the garden are now from seeds. Hopefully we'll be able to do even more next season.

  4. Owen asked me to say thanks on his behalf, since he does most of the work!

  5. Oh my goodness, I wish I could have a garden like this! I have a little garden box for my apartment porch, but the Atlanta heat scorched everything. Hopefully this mild winter will let me try again soon. :)
